Where do I send my sample?

The sample can be shipped to Asphalt Technologies Group, 1220 Superior Street, Portage, WI 53901. Be sure to include your contact information with the sample. Please label the sample container as completely as possible, including tank identification, sample date, and type of material. If you would like to print a testing request form and include it with the sample that is also helpful. (link to form)

How much sample is needed?

The amount of sample needed varies with the testing request. When in doubt, please call for guidelines. In general, PG testing requires one quart, emulsion testing may require up to one gallon. For aggregate testing, we like to have 5 gallons. Likewise, for emulsion formulation, we like to have 5 gallons of the base asphalt.

How long will it take to get results back?

We understand your need for fast results. In most cases, we begin the analysis of your sample within a day of receipt. That means that you won’t have to wait long for results. Our customers usually have results in their hands within 3 days of receiving the sample. If you have a specific need, let us know. Most of the time, we can make arrangements to have the testing done to meet your deadline.

Is there an extra charge to get results sooner?

We don’t charge “quick-turn” rates. Our goal is to always get the results to you as soon as possible. We don’t think that you should have to pay more to get faster service.

How will my results be sent?

We prefer to send results as an email attachment. But if you prefer, we can fax them to you, or use regular mail, or any combination of these methods that you like.

Can you send the results directly to the specifying agency for me?

It is convenient and sometimes required, that the testing results be sent directly to the specifying agency. We are happy to do this service for you.

Can I come for a tour of your facility?

We would be happy to show you our laboratory. Please call in advance so that we can schedule time to visit with you.
